Hierarchy is illusory. Concrete value systems cloud thought and block experience. Best and worst don’t actually exist.
BEAT CONSTRUCTION: BOI-1DA
"I remember I was in a studio session with a lot of people and Drake came by. He was gonna go get a water, and he was like, “Yo anybody want water?” and got a tray. My friends were really surprised that this guy was just carrying in water. They expected him to act like somebody rich and famous would act. He’s really humble and does nice things for people all the time. He’s the same old guy."

INTERVIEW: ROBERT HOOD
“It’s not so much about how I’ve got to get to a certain place of achievement in my life. It’s more about how I’m enthusiastic and hungry and thirsty for the music. But most of all, I’m getting this word out about hope and about paradise and about peace.”

"Money is like, weird."

When I listen to Lil B or I listen to Soulja Boy right now, cause I’m working with him, I sometimes can’t put my finger on why the kids like it, cause it sounds almost terrible. Like these guys are not trying to sound good, or what?
INTERVIEW: ANNIE

It’s so easy to get caught up in what everybody wants, and what you think the media is saying you need to do. It’s very easy to forget what made you into an artist and what message you want to get out in your music. It’s very important not to lose that aspect, because very often it’s the reason you actually got interesting in the first place.

INTERVIEW: KELLY ROWLAND
Will Destiny’s Child grow old and perform in Vegas together?
Well, we’ll never be old, honey! I don’t know. We’ll see. I love what we have right now. The best thing about being with Destiny’s Child is our friendship. I can call the girls, email them—it doesn’t matter what time it is. I’m so blessed. I’ve been knowing B since we were 9, 10 years old. Michelle came onto a moving train and now she’s one of the closest people to me in my life. I trust her and I trust B. What we have is very special. And it’s something that some people, not even women, don’t have: genuine friendship and love.

Q: DID YOU TWEET AMANDA BYNES?
GUCCI: Hell naw! Somebody done hacked my damn Twitter like three or four times. I don’t got no opinion on Amanda Bynes cause I don’t know her and never had heard of her. I don’t know what she did or what she didn’t do, but I didn’t tweet her. They say my Twitter was hacked. I changed my password and they just go hard and get in it. They always just tweet celebrities on some groupie stuff. It’s unfortunate.

INTERVIEW: MAC MILLER

"I used to be so wide-eyed and I loved everything. I loved doing every interview, every club appearance, because I was so excited, like, Holy shit, I’m a professional… Now I’m trying to clear my mind and stop tripping so much. But you gotta go through the bullshit to know anything."
